New This Week: Tap the Wisdom of the Crowd via Community
GWW SPOTLIGHT: Chris Sosnowski has a huge heart for water and a passion to serve the people that run small and medium water and wastewater utilities. As the CEO of Waterly, he helps forward-thinking utilities steward technology and water to make the world a better place. He’s so smart about tech, he’s included a Hubspot link on his GWW profile to make it easy for those in search of his services to schedule a time to meet.
TIP: Follow Chris’s lead. If you don’t yet have a calendar application to make it easy for people to schedule time with you, consider adding one to your profile. Chris references Hubspot, but we also like Calendly.com and are aware there are many other tools out there.
FUN FACT: The unique spelling of the association reinforces the organization’s mission by deliberately reusing the “R.” We hope you’re able to attend the annual event, “Resilience Redefined,” to meet those responsible for one of the fastest growing water resources.
WORLD WATER DAY (MARCH 22) IS FAST APPROACHING: GlobalWaterWorks is honored to join Mazarine Ventures in a 2021 World Water Day “Open House”
spotlighting some of the water/wastewater innovation activities across the Great Lakes region. In a unique, rapid-fire event 12 experts will share their knowledge, divulging the vast array of organizations, experts and incubators set up to support global participants in the Great Lakes area.
RESERVE YOUR SEAT FOR GLOBALWATERWORKS “OFFICE HOURS.” Beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET Thursday, March 25, and then every other Thursday, you will have the opportunity to Learn. Grow. Lead. Our first gathering will focus on finance/funding opportunities, and include networking opportunities for all.
Using real-word examples from the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), a panel of experts will discuss how smart water approaches are generating actionable insights, safeguarding public health, easing compliance and increasing water efficiency. Learn from LADWP’s journey to a Water Information Network (WIN) and other utility examples, how you can also place your utility on the path to resilience.
While many of our GWW ladies were mentioned, the reality is, there are too many talented women in water to choose from. Check out our Women in Water Group to see some of significant contributors to the water world–and we welcome all women to join!
