New This Week: Water – The Growth Accelerator
GWW SPOTLIGHT: Our member spotlight this week is on Jennifer Loudon, Founder and CEO of Intelligent Water Services and laboratory manager at Raritan Township MUA.
Jennifer is a self-starting environmental scientist with a wide range of experience and previous project areas, including wet chemistry, ecotoxicology, marine biology, sustainability, solid waste and wastewater management, and aquatic ecotoxicity analysis…to name a few 😉
OPINION: Will water unify us? Brett Walton, Circle of Blue asks the question. With every nation challenged to recover from the COVID pandemic, the smart and efficient management of water (via #WaterTech solutions made evident in the GWW community) is key to health, growth, social equity and climate change.
IN THE NEWS: Time Magazine’s Kid of the Year is Gitanjali Rao a Colorado 15-year old who invented a mobile device to test for lead in drinking water. She collaborated with water industry scientists to try bringing the device to market.
CASE STUDY: The COVID-19 pandemic has made life more difficult, but also accelerated the use of new business practices and technologies including those for the water industry. Streamlining during the pandemic has been an adjustment, but has improved operations in many instances. Is streamlining here to stay?
